Russia to launch cashback for tourists Aug 21 for 7 days
MOSCOW, Aug 10 (PRIME) -- The Russian government will launch a cashback program to stimulate local tourism at night on August 21, and the program will last until August 28, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said at a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Monday.
"This program will be launched soon, at night between August 20 and August 21, at midnight, Moscow time. It will last exactly a week and will finish on August 28," Chernyshenko said.
Head of the Federal Tourism Agency Zarina Doguzova said in July that the tourists will be able to receive cashback for travelling to all regions of Russia in 2020 starting from August. She said that the amount will depend on the cost of a tour: starting from 5,000 rubles for the tours amounting to 25,000–50,000 rubles, to 15,000 rubles for the tours costing from 75,000 rubles. Travelling duration must be over four days.
